Joe Lycett has claimed the police wanted to attend his show as part of their investigation into his infamous joke at the Waterfront Hall, only to back out after he asked to film them.

The 33-year-old Birmingham comedian was reported to the PSNI — allegedly by an off-duty police officer — after performing a routine in Belfast last June about his fondness for nudity as a child.
