A dissident at the centre of a plot targeting a British Army captain risks being jailed for going on a rant in support of political violence.

Gabriel Meehan, who is assessed by police as “being a high-ranking member of the Continuity IRA”, is currently on bail for spying on Ennsikillen PSNI station and collecting information likely to be useful to terrorists including the soldier’s car registration.
